Women's Basketball Signs Danielle Smith

The MCC women's basketball team added a new member this week as Danielle Smith committed to joining the Tigers for the 2018-19 season. Smith is a 6'0 post from Citrus County High School in Inverness, Florida. She was a dominant presence on the court during high school, averaging 13.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Danielle was a four year varsity player at Citrus County High School where her teams consistently competed for distract championships.

"Danielle will be a solid inside presence for us, with the ability to expand her game stepping away from the basket," stated Head Coach Steve Garber.  "Her presence will give us low post scoring to help open up the perimeter area for our guards".

Danielle is the fifth play to sign their letter of intent to play for the Tigers next season as coach Garber is trying to fill the gap left by the five graduating sophomores.
