Turnovers Tumultuous for Tigers

Turnovers were the difference in a non-conference matchup between the MCC Women's Basketball team and Luther JV as the Norse knocked off the Tigers 84-65. The Norse of Luther forced 21 Tiger turnovers with their trapping full-court press. The 21 turnovers were converted into 18 points for the Norse.

Both the Tigers and Norse shot effectively from the field throughout the game. While the pressing defense of Luther JV did force a lot of turnovers, it also led to an abundance of fouls. The 21 Norse fouls sent the Tigers to the free-throw line for 29 attempts to just 10 attempts for the visiting team. Unfortunately for the Tigers, they were only able to convert 55% of those attempts.

The Tiger offense was led by Dana Stokes with 20 points. While led by Stokes, the Tigers were well balanced with Laurin Lyons, Anna Jaumandreu, and Danielle Smith all registering double-digit points. Meanwhile, the Norse were led by Katie Evans and Jenna Uphoff with 22 and 21 points respectively.
