Bio

My name is Ajah Orr, and I am from Richmond, IN. I am a Liberal Arts major, but plan to major in Journalism after I transfer. I have a huge family and I love each and every one of them dearly. I have 8 sisters, 3 brothers, and I also have a twin sister!

I have two dogs, Coco and Draco. I also have a pet turtle named Rayven. My favorite movie is Roll Bounce and my favorite Tv show is Criminal Minds. I am a fan of rap music, hip hop, pop, R&B, and country. My favorite artists are Polo G and Luke Combs. Outside of school and basketball, I like to spend time with my family, friends, and my girlfriend. I also like to walk my dogs, cook, and play Fortnite.

So far, my favorite part about MCC is the accessibility for athletes. I like that they give us the opportunity to spend plenty of time in the gym and weight room throughout the day. I chose to attend MCC because I wanted to be a part of changing the narrative on the program. I want people to start respecting us and stop looking at the program in a negative light. My most memorable moment in athletics is anything high school related. I loved every second of playing basketball with my childhood best friends for years. My goals this year are to just be the best me that I can be for my teammates and coaches. I want to be the person that is always consistent. The one that they that they can count on if or when needed. After my basketball career is over, I want to write and broadcast sports. Any and all sports, at any level. I am very excited to be here and I look forward to helping make this year special for the Marshalltown community.
