Jennifer O'Neal joins volleyball coaching staff

The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team has announced the addition of Jennifer O'Neal to its coaching staff. O'Neal will aid in player development, primarily working with the outside and right side hitters and will play an integral role with recruiting and team travel.

MCC head volleyball coach Chris Brees is excited to add O'Neal as an assistant coach. "Jen is a great addition to our staff and will really help move our program in a positive direction.  Her style of coaching fits well with my philosophies of volleyball and commitment to academic success.  She is well respected in the Marshalltown area, which will help in the recruitment of local talent."

O'Neal comes to MCC after recently serving as Marshalltown High School's assistant volleyball coach and head freshman coach where she focused on player development and contributed to varsity practices and games. O'Neal also coached at the AAU level for more than six years throughout Marshalltown.

O'Neal received a bachelor's degree in Education, Reading, and Coaching Endorsement from Buena Vista University and is working towards the completion of a master's degree.
