Under the direction of new head coach Peter Cruz, the Marshalltown Community College volleyball team has announced its 2015 schedule. The Tigers will host 11 matches at the Student Activity Center, including the Tiger Invitational Sept. 11-12.
MCC opens up play at the Kirkwood Tri meet on Sept. 4, taking on Kirkwood Community College and Iowa Lakes. Following a match at Grinnell College on Sept. 5, the Tigers begin their home slate with the Tiger Invitational. MCC will take on Southwestern Community College at 4:00 PM and Graceland JV at 6:00 PM. On Saturday, the Tigers entertain Lincoln Land Community College at 12:00 PM and Southeast Community College at 2:00 PM.
The home-stand continues with a single match against Grand View JV on Sept. 15. The Region XI conference slate opens up at home at 7:00 PM on Sept. 18 vs. Iowa Western Community College, the defending District D champions. The Tigers' first home conference date is set for Sept. 29 as Indian Hills Community College comes to the Student Activity Center.
North Iowa Area Community College comes to town on Oct. 6 before the Tigers go on an 11-match road trip that spans 17 days, including trips to Iowa Western Oct. 7 and Indian Hills on Oct. 20. The Tigers will also play in the DMACC Tournament from Oct. 9-10, taking on the likes of Parkland College and Johnson Community College.
The 2015 regular season campaign concludes at MCC as the Tigers host Ellsworth Community College at 7:00 PM on Oct. 26 and welcome Black Hawk College-Moline and Kirkwood for the Marshalltown Tri on Oct. 29.
