Jordan Carter lands ICCAC Player of the Week honors

Jordan Carter (Sigourney, IA/Sigourney) has had a strong start to her collegiate career and for her efforts through the first week of play, the Marshalltown Community College volleyball freshman has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Player of the Week.

Carter improved in each of the team's first three matches of the year over the weekend as the outside hitter posted a personal-best 19 kills in Saturday's thrilling five-set loss at Grinnell College. Carter racked up 29 total kills over the weekend and also recorded 52 total digs.

Against Grinnell, Carter collected 27 digs along with four service aces to lead the Tigers.

The freshman currently ranks in the top five among ICCAC players in kills per set, digs per set, and service aces per set.

Carter and the Tigers host the six-team 2015 Tiger Invitational at the Student Activity Center on Friday and Saturday.
