Freshman Jordan Carter (Sigourney, IA/Sigourney) of the Marshalltown Community College Women's Volleyball team has been named to the NJCAA All-Region XI First-Team. Carter is one of seven players to earn the postseason honor.
In her inaugural season at MCC, Carter appeared in all 25 matches and all 94 sets for the Tigers. As a freshman, Carter led MCC with 269 total kills while her 2.86 kills per set ranked fourth in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). Carter also ranked second on the team with 30 service aces.
Carter posted 15 matches of double-digit kills, including a career-high 19 three times- against Grinnell College on Sept. 5 and against North Iowa Area Community College on Sept. 20 and Oct. 6. The freshman also tallied 15 matches of double-digit digs with a personal-best of 27 coming at Grinnell.
Carter was named the ICCAC Player of the Week on Sept. 9.
