Des Moines, IA—The Marshalltown Community College Volleyball team fell in four sets to Grand View JV on Wednesday night, dropping the match by scores of 20-25, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-10.
Sophomore Nicole Montgomery (Beaman, IA/BCLUW) led the Tigers with a season-best 12 kills on 48 total attempts. Fellow sophomore Paola Toledo (Boca Chica, Dominican Republic/San Rafael) also posted a season-high 10 kills.
Sophomores Jordan Carter (Sigourney, IA/Sigourney) and Rieley Rodman (Ankeny, IA/Grand View Christian) combined for 49 digs while freshman Nina Bales (Lacona, IA/Southeast Warren) recorded 33 digs in the loss.
The Tigers return home for a pair of matches this weekend. MCC hosts Ellsworth Community College at 7:00 PM Friday night and Southeastern Community College at 12:00 PM on Saturday, both in the Student Activity Center.
