Council Bluffs, IA—The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team fell on the road to No. 2 Iowa Western 3-0 on Wednesday night. The Tigers fell in straight sets 25-6, 25-15, and 25-12.
The Reivers, ranked No. 2 in this week's NJCAA Division I Volleyball poll started off strong and never looked back against the Tigers. Iowa Western earned its second win against the Tigers this season after defeating MCC 3-0 in Marshalltown on Sept. 7.
Freshman Sara Bisbe (Barcelona, Spain/CV Saint Cugat), this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Player of the Week, posted five kills while sophomore Jordan Carter (Sigourney, IA/Sigourney) added four kills and a pair of service aces. Sophomore Rieley Rodman (Ankeny, IA/Grand View Christian) posted a team-high 11 digs.

The Tigers head to the DCTC Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Rosemount, MN. MCC will take on Mesabi Range CTC and Dakota County Technical College.
