Sara Bisbe lands second ICCAC weekly honor

Freshman Sara Bisbe (Barcelona, Spain/CV Saint Cugat) put together a solid effort last week to nab her second Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Volleyball Player of the Week award.

Bisbe totaled 36 kills through three matches last week, including her sixth-career match of at least 20 kills. The freshman posted 20 finishers in a 3-1 loss to Grand View JV on Monday night to go along with 17 digs and two service aces.

Bisbe also added 10 kills, 12 digs, and two service aces in a 3-0 sweep of William Penn JV on Thursday night at the Student Activity Center.

The weekly honor is the second of the year for Bisbe who was also named ICCAC Player of the Week on Oct. 3.

With her performance last week, Bisbe ranks fourth in the ICCAC with 373 total kills and 3.60 kills per set. Both marks rank in the top 21 among all players in the NJCAA.

The Tigers host Northeast Community College at 7:00 PM on Thursday before concluding the regular season on the road at Iowa Lakes Community College on Oct. 29.
