Tiger volleyball takes down Panthers 3-1

The 2017 Tiger volleyball season is officially underway as Tigers defeated the Panthers from Ellsworth 3-1 on Tuesday night and are now 1-0 on the season. The MCC volleyball team is comprised of 11 freshman this season and they played well in their first competition together. Coach Hoskins commented on the team's success stating, "I think we played a complete game, but we still have moments where you can tell we are not yet used to playing with each other and we need to clean that up, but overall I'm happy with the team's performance."

When asked about the strengths of the team on Tuesday night Hoskins stated, "I believe our serve- receive was very good, Tiana Bolar, Celeste Barron-Nicoletti and Kaci Allgood passed very well and that allowed us to get into an offensive flow." Every player on the roster was able to play Tuesday night in their season debut. "I feel like the girls off the bench performed their roles well" stated Hoskins, "I'm excited to see where we will go from here."

The Tiger volleyball team will compete this Friday and Saturday in St. Cloud Minnesota as they will take on Dakota College at Bottineau and Mesabi Range CTC on Friday the 25th and Dakota County Technical College and St. Cloud Technical and Community College on Saturday the 26th.
