Tigers Fall to Southeastern

The MCC volleyball team hosted the 8-8 Blackhawks of Southeastern Community College Monday night in the Student Activity Center. The Tigers battled hard in the first set as both teams held the lead multiple times but fell 23-25. The second set was much of the same but the Tigers failed to slow down a late surge by the Blackhawks and dropped the second set 20-25. The Tigers seemingly ran out of gas in the third set, as they could not get their offense going dropping the set 9-25.

"At the end of the day we simply did not play well," stated Head Coach Justin Hoskins after the game. "It wasn't for a lack of effort or focus or anything along those lines we simply did not play our best volleyball tonight. We will get back to work tomorrow and we will be ready to play better on Wednesday."

The Tigers move to 10-6 on the season and will look to get back on track on Wednesday when they travel to Estherville Iowa to take on the Lakers of Iowa Lakes Community College at 7:00 PM. The Lakers are 4-17 on the year and 0-3 in conference play.
