On Monday night, the Tiger volleyball team traveled to Iowa Falls to take on the 6-15 Panthers of Ellsworth Community College. The 12-6 Tigers have defeated the Panthers 3-1 and 3-0 earlier in the season. Monday night the Tigers were able to repeat their previous success by taking the match 3-1. The Tigers took the first set 25-16 but dropped the second 23-25. The team was able to rebound in the third taking a tough 25-23 set before taking the match 25-21 in the fourth.
"We didn't play our best tonight," stated Head Coach Justin Hoskins, "but we found a way to grind out the win. Obviously it would be great to play well every night, but sometimes you simply need to find a way to win and that's what we were able to do tonight."
The 13-6 Tigers will be back in action on Wednesday when they take on the 15-6 Warriors of Indian Hills Community College. The match will begin at 7:00 PM in the Student Activity Center on the Marshalltown Community College campus.
