Saturday afternoon the MCC volleyball team took on the Lakers of Iowa Lakes Community College. This would be the third match between the two teams, with both previous matches won by the Tigers. With home court advantage, the Tigers would again come away with a straight set victory.
"It feels good to get back in the win column." Stated Head Coach Justin Hoskins after the match. "This was the third time we faced Iowa Lakes so both teams knew each other very well and were well prepared for the match. It's tough to beat any team three times in a season, so I'm happy with the way the team was able to come out with a win. I hope that we can build on this win when we travel to Ellsworth on Monday and carry some momentum into the region tournament."
The volleyball team is now 19-14 on the season as they prepare for their Monday matchup with Ellsworth Community College. This will be the fourth meeting between MCC and Ellsworth this season. The Tigers are 3-0 against the Panthers this season.
