The MCC volleyball team added another member last week when Fauneil Olander committed. Olander is a native of Winside, Nebraska where she participated in volleyball and track for Winside High School. While competing at Winside, the 5'2 outside hitter earned 1st Team All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention honors.
"Fauneil will come in and compete for immediate playing time as a defensive specialist this upcoming season," stated Head Coach Justin Hoskins. "She was successful in high school as an outside hitter, so there will be a bit of a transition period for her. However, I'm confident that her athleticism, determination, and character will shine through and help her to become a very good DS for us."
Fauneil is the daughter of Sara and Chris Olander, she has four siblings, Chris, Eddie, Micah, and Allan. While at MCC, Fauneil will study Early Childhood Education with hopes to transfer to a four year school and become a preschool teacher.
