Tiger Volleyball Adds Elena Yee

The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team received another commitment for the 2018 season as Milford, Utah's Elena Yee has signed and will join the Tigers next fall. Elena is the daughter of Julie and Paul Yee and younger sister to Karissa. Yee has had success at the High School level, both in volleyball and basketball, earning First Team All-State honors in both sports. A versatile athlete, Elena participated in volleyball, basketball, track, cross country, and drill team throughout her high school career.

"Elena is going to come in and instantly add competition at our pin positions," stated Head Coach, Justin Hoskins. "Elena always finds a way to be successful in whatever she does and that can be seen through her athletic and academic accomplishments. I have no doubt that she will be successful here as well and help our program continue to make positive strides. I'm excited that she's a Tiger."

Along with her athletic successes, Elena has also been successful in the classroom, earning a spot on the Milford High School Honor Roll every semester while in High School. While at MCC, Elena will study Medicine, with the goal of pursuing a career in the medical field. When asked why she decided to attend MCC, Yee stated, "I decided I wanted to attend MCC because of the small school atmosphere and since I am from a small town in Utah. It has always been a dream to be playing a sport in college and Coach Hoskins made me feel very welcomed when I made my campus visit."
