Hannah Goodwin Hired as Assistant Volleyball Coach

The Marshalltown Community College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Hannah Goodwin as the Assistant Volleyball Coach. Goodwin is a recent graduate of Graceland University, where she was a member of the volleyball team. While at Graceland, Goodwin was awarded All-Conference honors as a sophomore and junior. Goodwin also served as a coach with the JV program during her final year and has experience coaching club volleyball.

"I really enjoyed working with student athletes at Graceland University and now getting the chance to coach at the junior college level and work with a new group of girls and Coach Hoskins will be a fun and exciting challenge," stated Goodwin. "I have high expectations for my student-athletes both in the classroom and on the court. My main goal is to help these girls succeed and grow in all aspects of life and make sure they leave MCC a better person and ready for life after college."

The Tigers, led by Head Coach, Justin Hoskins are coming off of the most successful season in recent memory in which they reached 20 wins. Hoskins is looking forward to adding Goodwin to the program and her ability to help the program continue to move in a positive direction.

"Hannah brings good volleyball knowledge and experience to our program," stated Head Coach, Justin Hoskins. "She has experience both playing and coaching at the club and college levels. I'm looking forward to having her in our program. I think she'll do a great job of helping our student-athletes grow as players and people."

The Tigers will begin practices for the 2018 season on August, 1st. They're opening match is August, 22nd at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, NC.
