Ames, IA- Sophomore setter Jelena Dukic has been named 1st Team All-Region for her on court efforts this season. She paced the offense to a program best 34 wins, as the season was one for the Tiger record books. The lone sophomore on the squad, she was consistently looked upon to provide leadership both on and off the court, a role that she flourished in for the Tigers.
The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has announced the Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending on October 7th. Marshalltown CC's freshman libero Halee Pedro has been named Division I Volleyball's Athlete of the Week for Defense. This is the third time this season Pedro has earned this elite honor.
For the second consecutive Sunday, Tiger Volleyball headed to Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa to play in a four-match “Taco John’s Spikefest” event. Also for the second consecutive Sunday, the Tigers left Southeastern with a perfect 4-0 record on the day and won each of the four matches via sweeps.
