Pinehurst, NC - The MCC volleyball team has now moved to 4-0 on the season, defeating both Richard Bland College and Sandhills Community College 3-1 on Friday night. After the Tigers defeated their first two opponents of the season in straight sets, the team faced opponents that each took a set, forcing the team to regroup.
"We showed a lot of grit tonight," stated Head Coach, Justin Hoskins. "We dug ourselves a hole a couple of times but were able to stay resilient and fight our way out. We played some tough competition tonight and the girls responded well. Hopefully we'll come back out tomorrow and finish the trip on a positive note."
The Tigers will spend one more day in the Carolinas, traveling to Fayettville North Carolina for a noon showdown with the Trojans of Fayettvillle Technical Community College.
