Ottumwa, IA – The Tiger's 10 match win streak came to an end Wednesday night, falling to the Warriors of Indian Hills Community College 3-0. The Tigers now move to 19-3 and 0-2 in the ICCAC.

The most competitive match of the year so far, the Tigers were narrowly defeated each set, falling 25-20, 27-25, and 25-21. Freshman Sadie Smith led the team with 11 kills on 28 total attacks. Freshman Chiara Mottola and Marija Egic finished with nine and eight kills respectively and each finished with a hitting percentage over .400. The Tigers were able to spread the ball around in their offensive attacks with six tigers making up the teams 43 kills.

Sophomore Jelena Dukic earned yet another ICCAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for her play from Sept 17-23. The most consistent player in recent memory for the Tigers, Dukic recorded 30 assists in the ICCAC match up. Freshmen Halee Pedro and Raquel Gonzales each played effective defense, recording 12 and 11 digs respectively.

Indian Hills Community College had two dominant performances offensively with Mariana Rodrigues and Cecilia Campos recording 17 and 15 kills. The Warrior's setter, Yasmin Assis recorded 34 assists on the night and Amanda Toyota and Mariana Rodrigues led the team with 16 and 14 digs respectively.

The Tigers now get a few days to rebound from the conference loss, traveling to Burlington, Iowa on Sunday for a four-match slate. The Tigers will take on the University of Dubuque, St. Ambrose University 1, Southeastern Community College, St. Ambrose University 2.
