Dukic named 1st Team All-Region

Ames, IA- Sophomore setter Jelena Dukic has been named 1st Team All-Region for her on court efforts this season. She paced the offense to a program best 34 wins, as the season was one for the Tiger record books. The lone sophomore on the squad, she was consistently looked upon to provide leadership both on and off the court, a role that she flourished in for the Tigers.

Statistically, she finished among the conference and nations best in assists, assists per set, and service aces per set. She was second behind Iowa Western's Hina Pua'a (also an All Region selection) in both assists and assists per set. She was second behind teammate Sadie Smith in service aces per set. Nationally, she finished 5th with 1272 assists, and 7th with 10.43 assists per set. From the service line, she finished 4th with 68 service aces, and 7th with 0.56 aces per set.

Dukic finishes her career in a tiger uniform with 2328 assists, averaging to 9.58 assists per set. She also finishes with 107 aces, good for 0.44 aces per set. A stand out in the classroom as well, she is on her way to her second Academic All Region selection and was named to the 3rd team Academic All-American squad last season. "I'm proud of Jelena and all of her accomplishments during her time here. She is 100% deserving of being named 1st Team All-Region and I'm glad she's being recognized as one of the top players in the region," Head Coach Justin Hoskins stated.
