MCC Student Activity Center The Student Activity Center was officially opened in October 2008. The 40,000 square foot facility is the hub of the college's athletic and fitness programs. It includes a full college basketball/volleyball court with seating for up to 1,500 fans, locker rooms, and a high-tech fitness center and upper level running/walking/jogging track. It also includes student meeting rooms, Athletic Department offices, coaches' offices, a training room, cheerleading center, and lounge/recreation areas for a variety of student, community, and college related activities.

Shawn Williams Baseball Field

This beautiful field features a premium playing surface with automated irrigation system, 6,000 square feet of sod in the infield, flexi-clay pitching mound built to major league specifications, double bullpens, turfed catching areas, and two batting cages with mounds. New dugouts were recently constructed.

MCC Soccer Field

The MCC soccer field is located on the Marshalltown Community College campus. It is on the southwest corner of campus right next to the Iowa Valley Community College District Office building. Home of 2012, 2018, and 2019 Region XI Champions, the field received a major upgrade in 2013 with the addition of a brand new scoreboard in the northwest corner of the field.

MCC Softball Field

The MCC softball field plays host to the Tigers during the spring season. The field recently received new visitor and home dugouts. The field also plays host to a number of local leagues and tournaments, along with the Marshalltown Girls' Softball Association. The complex features four softball diamonds, a concession area, and public restrooms

 


MCC Fitness Center

Fitness Center Hours and Rules

The state-of-the-art MCC Fitness Center, located on the second floor of the new MCC Student Activity Center, is unlike any other at Iowa's community colleges. The fitness center provides equipment for students, faculty and staff to enjoy, including 15 pieces of Precor cardio equipment (treadmills; elliptical trainers; upright bicycles; and two adaptive motion trainers, the newest Precor piece that combines a stair stepper and elliptical trainer). The fitness center also offers two sets of selectorized weight training equipment, including one circuit of Paramount Strength and one circuit of Hoist Roc-it. In total, the MCC Fitness Center includes 23 pieces of strength equipment, plus light dumbbells and a rowing machine. The center also features a 1/10 mile rubberized running/jogging/walking track.

 

 

Babe Harder Gymnasium

The Babe Harder Gymnasium includes the gym, a team room/classroom, racquetball court, locker rooms, and offices. It is named in memory of Babe Harder, longtime MCC physical education instructor and coach. The facility also features three indoor batting cages for the MCC baseball and softball teams, along with dual pitching mounds.
