Ron Ginapp enters his fourth year as assistant coach for the Tigers. Before he came to MCC he had coached high school boys basketball for 35 years. Ron was the head basketball coach at Marshalltown High School for his last seven years with the district before retiring in 2011. His overall record during that time was 88-68, which included a trip to the state tournament in 2008.

Ginapp played high school basketball at Belmond, Iowa and then went on to play two years at NIACC in Mason City, IA and two years at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, IA. In addition to his duties as MCC assistant basketball coach, he is also currently a substitute teacher in the Marshalltown Community School District.

Ron and his wife Nancy reside in Marshalltown. They have three grown children: Nick, Stacey and Brad.
