Mady Van Metre

Mady Van Metre joined the MCC women's volleyball program as an assistant coach in the summer of 2015. Van Metre also serves as the MCC women's basketball assistant coach

Van Metre played two seasons of volleyball for the Tigers, along with one season of basketball. Van Metre played volleyball in 2012 and ranked ninth nationally with 507 total kills. She received the NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Academic Achievement after posting a 4.0 GPA. She was a member of the NJCAA All-Academic Team, Academic All-Region XI First-Team, and Second-Team All-Conference.

A native of Marshalltown, Van Metre played basketball at Iowa Western Community College as a freshman before joining the Tiger program in 2012-13. As a sophomore at MCC, Van Metre was named a First-Team All-Region DII selection. Van Metre played in 28 games, averaging 13.3 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Van Metre's athletic ability is highlighted in an exclusive group. She is part of just a handful of female athletes that have scored at least 25 points in a basketball game and recorded 25 kills in a volleyball match throughout their career, dating back several seasons.
