Ashley Salgado has been a member of the MCC women's volleyball team for two seasons now. Salgado serves as a tri-captain with fellow sophomores Alyssa Whitmore and Kaitlyn Yauslin. Salgado is a two-sport athlete, also a member of the women's basketball team. The sophomore has twice been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Defensive Player of the Week. Salgado leads the team in digs and digs per set, and despite missing significant time with an injury, the sophomore ranks second in the conference with 652 total digs on the year. Salgado has helped lead the Tigers to an 18-16 mark on the year, surpassing last year's win total. Salgado is a Liberal Arts major and is a member of the Resident Life and Housing staff.
