Marshalltown Community College is hosting an Esports Summer Day Camp on August 1 st and 2nd for middle and high school students! Come learn and work with the MCC Esports coaching staff to improve your game! Students will experience whole group and direct title coaching aimed at improving gameplay and strategy. Students will also have the opportunity to shoutcast and help produce livestreams!  100% of proceeds will go towards scholarships for MCC esports students!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 1ST
  • Mario Kart 8 DX (Nintendo Switch*)
  • Overwatch 2 (PC**)
 
FRIDAY, AUGUST 2ND
  • Rainbow Six Siege (PC**)
  • Valorant (PC**)
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Nintendo Switch*)

* Students participating in Nintendo Switch titles should bring their own preferred controller. Students may bring their own Switch consoles if they wish, but MCC has enough consoles on-hand to host the camp.

**Students MUST have a valid PC account for Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six Siege, or Valorant to participate in those titles. If a student doesn’t have one, they may create one in advance or at the start of the camp.

DROP-OFF: 8:00 - 9:00 am 
MORNING ACTIVITIES: 9:00 - 11:30 am 
LUNCH: 11:30 am-12:30 pm 
AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES: 12:30 - 4:00 pm 
PICK-UP: 4:00 - 5:00 pm 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
COST: $50 per day
REGISTRATION PAYMENT: Filling out this form reserves your spot for the camp BUT payment will be taken the day of the camp. Checks can be written to IVCCD. Cash is also accepted.
 
ELIGIBLE STUDENTS: Open to incoming 7th-12th graders and 2024 HS graduates
*A MINIMUM AGE OF 13 IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE. NO STUDENTS UNDER 13 WILL BE ADMITTED! 
 
REGISTRATION CAP: Space is limited! The registration cap is 20 students per game title per day – once the cap has been reached, students will no longer be admitted to that day’s camp. 
 
CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Students will need to report to Marshalltown Community College and enter the building using Door 2 on the east side of campus. They will report to the check-in table to verify payment or complete payment if they have not yet paid. Students will not be admitted into the camp without paying first. 
 
LUNCH: Lunch will be provided to students at no additional cost as part of their admission fee for the Day Camp. If students have specific allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact MCC Esports coaches to inform them of these needs, or plan on packing a lunch.

AGE REQUIREMENT *
I understand that my student MUST be 13 years of age or older to participate.
STUDENT CONDUCT AGREEMENT *
I understand that my student is expected to follow the behavior expectations and guidelines set by the camp supervisors and MCC coaches. If my student violates expected behavior or conduct guidelines, they may be removed from the camp and will not be allowed to return for any remaining days. By checking this box, I acknowledge that my student needs to follow these guidelines. I also acknowledge that if my student does NOT follow these guidelines that I am expected to pick them up from the camp immediately, that they are NOT allowed to return, and that I will NOT be issued a refund for my student being removed from the camp.
DAMAGE POLICY *
I understand that if my student damages or destroys any MCC equipment or property, my family assumes full financial responsibility for repaying any damages incurred.
MEDIA RELEASE *
I give permission and authorization to Iowa Valley Community College District and its components to use any still photograph or video for promotional purposes, including Internet usage, and/or social media. The undersigned releases Iowa Valley Community College District, its components and assignees, from any and all claims for damages for libel, slander, invasion of the right of privacy or any other claim based on the use of said material.
