JR Fernandes joined the MCC Tiger Soccer coaching staff Fall 2020 as an Assistant Coach.

He graduated from the University of Physical Education of Jundiai and then attended both DMACC and Drake. He graduated from Drake with a degree in Physical Education.

Coach Fernandes brings over 30 years of coaching experience to the MCC soccer program including Assistant Soccer Coach at Grand View 1991-1992, Assistant Soccer Coach at Simpson 1998- 2006, Coaching Director at the Iowa United Soccer Club 1990-1997, Coaching Director of the Vision Soccer Academy 1997-2005, Coaching Director at the Altoona Soccer Club 2005-2013, Head Coach at the Menace Soccer Academy 2013-2018 and U17 Head Coach at the United Football 2018 - Present.

He and his wife Karri have two sons Max and Eddy.
