Jorden Spendlove

Jorden Spendlove was named Assistant Softball Coach at Marshalltown Community College in the fall of 2015. Spendlove joins the Tigers' coaching staff after a stellar playing career at Iowa State University.

Spendlove garnered a multitude of accolades for the Cyclones, both on and off the playing field. Spendlove was named to the All-Big 12 Defensive Team in 2014. A primary first baseman, Spendlove started 207 of a possible 208 games for the Cyclones over the course of her four-year career, the sixth-most starts in school history. Spendlove's 160 career hits rank 10th in school history and her 31 career doubles also rank eighth in program history.

Off the field, Spendlove was named an NFCA Academic All-American in 2013 and earned Big 12 First-Team All-Academic in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Spendlove earned the highest GPA on the team and for her efforts, was named to the All Cyclone Team in 2013. Spendlove was also involved with numerous clubs on campus, including Chi Alpha Sigma Student Athlete Honor Society, National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Spendlove has served as the 9th grade Head Coach at Ankeny Centennial High School since May 2014. Spendlove began the program while also assisting with the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.

At Iowa State, Spendlove earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Athletic Coaching after graduating in May 2015
