Marshalltown Community College is thrilled to announce its Esports Summer Day Camp, offering an immersive experience for middle and high school students on Monday, August 4th, and Tuesday, August 5th, 2025. Aspiring esports athletes will have the chance to learn from the experienced MCC Esports coaching staff and enhance their skills in a variety of popular competitive games.
The camp will feature both comprehensive group sessions and focused, title-specific coaching designed to elevate gameplay and strategic thinking. Participants will also gain valuable insight into the world of esports beyond playing, with opportunities to try their hand at shoutcasting and contribute to live stream productions. All proceeds from the camp will directly benefit scholarships for dedicated MCC esports students.
The lineup for the two-day camp includes:
Monday, August 4th:
- Mario Kart 8 DX (Nintendo Switch*)
- Overwatch 2 (PC**)
- Rainbow Six Siege (PC**)
Tuesday, August 5th:

Participants playing Nintendo Switch titles are encouraged to bring their preferred controllers. While MCC will have Switch consoles available, students are welcome to bring their own if they wish.
Important Requirement for PC Titles: Students MUST have a valid PC account for Overwatch 2, Rocket League, or Marvel Rivals to participate in those games. Accounts can be created in advance or at the start of the camp.
