    Three student-athletes and two teams from Marshalltown Community College have been recognized by the NJCAA for their academic success throughout the 2012-13 school year.
  • Tigers set to host 2013 volleyball camp
    June 11, 2013
    Head coach Chris Brees and the Marshalltown Community College volleyball team will host its 2013 summer volleyball camp from July 20-26 at the MCC Student Activity Center. The camp will be split up between three separate age groups and will focus on all aspects of the game.
  • Volleyball garners awards

    The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has announced its 2012 All-Region and All-Conference teams for volleyball. The honorees were selected by the leagues head coaches. Marshalltown Community College finished the season with a 14-25 overall record, going 3-6 in conference play, qualifying the Tigers for the Region XI-A Tournament.
  • Van Metre comes back swinging

    Sophomore outside hitter Mady Van Metre (Marshalltown, IA) wasted little time getting back in the swing of things. Van Metre, who has missed the last five matches due to a concussion, hit a match high 19 kills to help the tiger volleyball team (14-20, 3-2) sweep host Waldorf College 3-0.
  • Tiger volleyball "digs" past Southeastern

    The MCC volleyball team (10-19, 3-2) gave their sophomore class a good sendoff by sweeping visiting conference foe Southeastern Community College 25-21, 25-16, 25-19. The Tigers honored sophomores Tanya Literski (Athens, WI), Mady Van Meter (Marshalltown, IA), Ashton Baardseth (Marshalltown, IA) and Sam Oujiri (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a ceremony before the match.
  • Volleyball wins 5 set thriller

    Freshmen Katelyn Yauslin (Cedar Rapids, IA) hit for a career high 26 kills to lead the MCC volleyball team (8-16, 2-2) to a 26-24, 25-18, 18-25, 20-25, 18-16 victory over conference rival Ellsworth Community College.
  • Tigers sweep NIACC 3-0
    October 04, 2012
    The MCC Tiger volleyball team put together a full match of efficient hitting to put away visiting NIACC 25-14, 25-11, 25-22. MCC hit .388 on the evening. With the win, the Tigers avenge a five set loss from last week to the Trojans in Mason City.
