The Marshalltown Community College Athletic Department would like to congratulate Jelena Dukic for being named October Female Athlete of the Month. During the month of October Dukic recorded 357 assists while the Tigers went 5-7. Dukic has totaled 60 blocks this season as well as 41 service aces.

"Jelena has been very consistent for us throughout the season," stated Head Coach Justin Hoskins. "She has done a great job of putting our hitters in good situations. In addition to her setting, she also leads the team in blocks and aces."

With the regular season at an end, the Tigers will be in action Friday for the District Tournament. The District Champion will punch their ticket to Hutchinsen Kansas for the national tournament. Dukic and the rest of the Tigers will take on Indian Hills in the first round starting at 3:00 pm in Council Bluffs.
