Marshalltown Community College's Nuha Sagnia, from Pipeline, Gambia, has signed to NCAA DI St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY to continue his academic and athletic career. St. Francis is a part of the Northeast Conference.
"As an international student, my time at MCC was great," commented Sagnia. "The resources were provided for me and my fellow student-athletes to be successful. At St. Francis I am looking forward to working hard and to be the best version of myself as a student-athlete."
The 6'9 forward for the Tigers, averaged 9.9 points per game this season along with 6.9 rebounds per game. He received 2nd Team All-Region honors this season. "Nuha's best basketball is still ahead of him," commented MCC Head Men's Basketball Coach, Ryan Flack. "He had some good performances for us the past two seasons and was someone we really ran our offense through. As he continues to put on muscle and play at a high level he is only going to continue to get better. I can't wait to watch his progress as he moves forward!"
