Three players from the Marshalltown Community College baseball team spent Wednesday morning with the children from Tiger Tots, the Child Care Center on the MCC campus.

Sophomores Ty Russell (Victoria, BC/Lambrick Park) and Daryl Blaskovich (Brentwood Bay, BC/Lambrick Park) teamed up with freshman Wesley Warwick (North English, IA/English Valley) to read books to the kids.

"It was a great experience," said Warwick, a freshman infielder for the Tigers. "The kids really enjoyed having people spend their morning with them and it was a great way for us to interact with the kids. We're looking forward to getting to spend more time with them throughout the year."

The Tigers travel to Missouri this weekend for a four-game series with Crowder College with first pitch set for 1:00 PM on Saturday.
