Tigers Sweep Player of the Week Honors

A pair of Tiger's took home the coveted Player/Pitcher of the Week honors for the final week of the season ending on May 7th. Freshman Luis Menendez and sophomore David Davila led the Tigers to a 4-0 sweep of Southwestern to end the regular season ICCAC slate.

The freshman knocked in five teammates, adding to his season total of 25 RBIs. Menendez also scored himself seven times, claiming responsibility for 12 Tiger runs throughout the week. Menendez finished the regular season with a batting average of .296.

Left handed pitcher David Davila has performed well during his last few games of Region play. He continued these efforts with a great outing against Southwestern, shutting them down in a low scoring affair (3-1). In seven innings, Davila allowed five hits and one earned run. He struck out nine opponents, adding to his season total of 35 strikeouts. Davila finished with a regular season pitching record of 5-5.
