The Marshalltown Community College Cheer-Dance-Spirit Team will host a Youth Dance/Cheer Camp on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the MCC Student Activity Center. The camp will run from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM for campers in grades 4th-6th and 12:30 PM-2:30 PM for campers in grades 1st-3rd.
Campers will learn dance routines, cheers and chants, bleacher routines and much more. Following the camp, all participants in grades 1st-3rd will return to the gym to cheer on the MCC Women’s Basketball team as the Tigers host Northeast Community College at 5:00 PM. Campers in grades 4th-6th will cheer on the MCC Men’s Basketball team at 7:00 PM. Each group will perform a halftime routine in their respective game.
Family members of the campers will receive discounted ticket prices to the game. Adults will receive admission for $4.00 and middle and high school students will receive admission for 2:00.
Cost of the camp is $20.00 by Dec. 23, $25.00 by Jan. 13, and $30.00 after Jan. 13. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and an MCC Cheer-Dance-Spirit Team poster.
