Marshalltown Community College freshman, David Roberts from St. Louis, MO, has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 22-28.  

In MCC's two wins against Iowa Central this past week, freshman guard Roberts, was the main contributor to that success. In the first 56-55 win over Iowa Central, Roberts scored 26 points with three three-pointers and was nine for 10 from the free throw line.

In the second match up against the Tritons, he scored 27 points shooting 10 for 19 and connected on four three pointers. He also added nine rebounds and three steals.

Roberts is averaging 18.6 points per game and is shooting almost 79% from the line.

The Tigers will travel to take on Division II #5 ranked Kirkwood in their next game on Wednesday, Dec. 1 with 7:30 tip off.
