Marshalltown Community College's men's soccer player, David Kromah, has decided to take his talents to Northern Michigan University next season. Kromah has seen extensive playing time during his career, playing in 34 games as a Tiger while starting in 18. Playing predominantly as a forward, Kromah was a consistent scorer while playing alongside All-American Kino Ryosuke. Kromah was able to find the net eight times, seven coming in his sophomore season and recorded two game winning goals.

"We are very happy about David's commitment to Northern Michigan," stated Head Coach Rafael Martinez. "I have been in constant communication with coach Poggi and feel that this is a great fit for both the program and David."

Northern Michigan University is a NCAA Division II athletic program, playing in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Kromah will be in good hands entering a program led by Head Coach David Poggi who has over 30 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and club level. 

"I'm really excited about joining Coach Poggi at Northern Michigan," stated Kromah. "I think they have a great group of guys up there that can excel in the coming years and I hope I can make a positive contribution and help with the growth of the program."

Coach Martinez was very proud of Kromah and reflected on his time at MCC stating, "David came to MCC with a tremendous resume at the high school level, and yet he understood he needed to adjust to a different style and speed of the game in order to have success at the college level. He was successful by allowing coaches input, watching and learning from his teammates and working hard in all aspects to make himself a valuable member of our family. I think David leaves this college a better man and a better player and I am very proud of him for accomplishing that."
