Tigers fall to Grand View

The MCC Women's Basketball Team (9-17, 4-8) was hoping to continue where it left off on Saturday, coming off a conference win against Iowa Lakes Community College. The Tigers had what head coach Alison Lacey thought to be their best team effort of the season heading into Monday's game against Grand View University JV.

The Tigers wouldn't be able to match Saturday's efforts, struggling to find consistency from the floor and falling to the Vikings 60-53. The Tigers shot 26 percent from the floor and 17 percent behind the three point arc on the evening.

Sophomore Mady Van Metre (Marshalltown, IA) led the Tigers offensively with 17 points, followed by 10 points from freshman Ashely Salgado (Ottumwa, IA). Freshman Mackenzie Gott (Oskaloosa, IA) returned to the Tiger lineup and collected a game high 14 rebounds.

The Tigers will head back on the road Wednesday night for ICCAC conference action against Southeastern Community College. Game time is slatted for 6 pm.
