MCC Women’s Soccer debut season

The Marshalltown Community College Women's Soccer team is set to open their debut season on Thursday, September 1 as they host Scott Community College at 3 pm.

The eighteen-woman roster will be led by Head Coach Allie Osmundson and Assistant Coach Stacy Galema. The diverse team is comprised of a mix of local talent as well as several international players from Colombia, Brazil and the United Kingdom.

Osmundson is looking forward to seeing her team succeed in and out of the classroom. "Our student-athletes are excited about the opportunity to represent MCC on the pitch, in the classroom and out in the community. We are looking forward to building a strong foundation for the program as we enter the 1st season."

"We are very excited for the inaugural season for the women's soccer program at MCC," commented Osmundson. "The Marshalltown men's soccer team has had a strong tradition of success over the past decade and the women's team hopes to replicate this success. The team has been working hard in the pre-season to improve every day and the team chemistry is very strong as the players push and support each other to achieve their best."
