Marshalltown Community College was well represented on the NJCAA Region XI All-Academic teams as 34 student-athletes from the winter and spring seasons were recognized. 11 Tigers were named to the first-team while 23 were named to the second-team.

The Tigers had what head coach Alison Lacey thought to be their best team effort of the season heading into Monday's game against Grand View University JV.
The MCC Tiger Women's Basketball team (8-15, 3-7) made a strong push in the second half to come within 5 points with four minutes remaining, but strong shooting from the charity strike by the Pirates would keep the Tigers from getting any closer falling 78-62.
