Quincy, IL – The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team moved to 15-2 Friday night, defeating the Blazers of John Wood Community College 3-0. The Tigers dominated the match from start to finish, winning 25-8, 25-16, 25-11.

Statistically, the Tigers finished with a team hitting percentage of .241 with Chiara Mottola leading the way with 6 kills on 8 total attacks and a .750 hitting percentage. Marija Egic finished with 8 kills and only 1 error on 22 attacks.

Jelena Dukic again led the Tigers in assists with 26 and added 7 digs on the night. Halee Pedro played well defensively, recording 16 of the 49 recorded digs Friday night.

The Tigers will get a day off before making the trip to Southeastern Community College for the Taco John's Spike Fest. The Tigers are slated for four matches on Sunday, facing Kankekee Community College, Southeastern Community College, Lake Land College, and Iowa Westleyan University JV.
