Marshalltown Community College baseball split their series 2-2 hosting Southwestern Community College on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18.
The first game of the series the Tigers lost a close 3-0 in seven innings. Gage Juhlin went 2-4 while Jackson Stephen pitched seven innings with three strikeouts.
Game two the Tigers walked off the Spartan's in nine innings, winning 6-5! Ernesto Moreno Jr went 3-5 with the game winning RBI. Luke Pell also went 3-4 with two RBI's in the game. Josh Ironside pitched eight innings giving up two earned runs and two strikeouts.
The Tigers fell 10-3 in the third game of the series on Sunday. Edwin De Los Santos Moreno pitched six innings with seven strikeouts on 11 hits. Stephen went 1-3 with two RBI's.
The Tiger Tigers offense went off for 13 runs on 11 hits in the final game of the weekend winning 13-3. Moreno and Pell both went 3-3 with three RBI's. Tom Leathem pitched five innings with three strikeouts.
