
MCC baseball players earn All-Region Honors
Marshalltown Community College baseball is excited to announce that four of its players have been recognized with Division II Iowa Community College Athletic Association Conference (ICCAC) All-Region honors for their outstanding performance during the recent season.
MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College baseball is excited to announce that four of its players have been recognized with Division II Iowa Community College Athletic Association Conference (ICCAC) All-Region honors for their outstanding performance during the recent season.
Sophomore outfielder Joe Adams (Minnetonka, MN) was named to the Second Team All-Region. Adams, finished the season with a .375 batting average, 34 RBIs, 34 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases.
Joining Adams with Honorable Mention All-Region honors are sophomore catcher Carter Schellsmidt (Waukon, IA), sophomore first baseman Sinclair Lee (Victoria, BC), and sophomore third baseman Alex Wickett (Tiny, Ontario, Canada).
Schellsmidt contributed with a .323 batting average and 25 RBIs. At the plate, Lee had a .365 batting average, 26 RBIs, and 30 runs. Wickett was a consistent force for the Tigers, batting .341 with 39 RBIs and 41 runs.
