Tyrone Robinson steps down as head softball coach
August 04, 2014Marshalltown Community College softball head coach Tyrone Robinson has stepped down after one year at the helm of the Tiger program. Robinson has accepted a head softball coaching position at NCAA Division I Coppin State University.

Volleyball, softball named NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year
June 25, 2014Two Marshalltown Community College athletic teams have been recognized by the NJCAA as Academic Teams of the Year. The women’s volleyball program and the softball team were honored for achieving a grade point average of at least 3.00.

Six student-athletes honored by NJCAA for academic success
June 24, 2014The NJCAA has recognized six Marshalltown Community College student-athletes for their academic success in the 2013-14 season. Two student-athletes received the Superior Academic Achievement award while four student-athletes received the Exemplary Academic Achievement award.

June 13, 2014The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has announced its Academic All-Region teams for the spring semester, and Marshalltown Community College was well represented. 26 athletes, including 15 on the first-team, across two sports earned recognition from the region.

May 04, 2014Fort Dodge, IA—The Marshalltown Community College softball team’s season came to an end at the hands of top-seeded Kirkwood Community College in the Region XI Division II Softball Tournament on Sunday, falling 8-0 in five innings to the Eagles. The Tigers set a program-record with 33 wins in 2014.

May 02, 2014Fort Dodge, IA—The Marshalltown Community College softball team defeated Ellsworth Community College 7-1 in its opening game of the Region XI Division II Softball Tournament on Friday, but fell to top-seeded Kirkwood Community College 3-0. The Tigers will face seventh-seeded North Iowa Area Community College at 1:00 PM tomorrow in the double-elimination tournament.

The Tigers will take on No. 5 seed Ellsworth Community College at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge, IA.
