Marshalltown Community College softball player Nell Skeath from North Vancouver, British Columbia has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of March 9-13. 

MCC traveled to Florida this past week and played ten games in six days. Sophomore left fielder, Skeath, had an outstanding week at the plate. She was 16 of 32 at bat. She had nine singles, three doubles, a trip and three home runs. She accounted for 20 team runs by driving in nine runners and scoring 11 herself.

She also had five walks and was active on the bases swiping seven bags. Two times during games last week she took the first pitch of the game and hit a home run.
