MCC’s Ryan Gouldin ICCAC Athletes of the Week

Marshalltown Community College baseball's Ryan Gouldin has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for the week of April 10-16.

Gouldin, a sophomore catcher from Firth, NE, collected five hits last week that did a lot of damage for the Tigers. Three of his five hits went for extra bases including a double and two home runs. He racked up nine RBIs and scored five runs, while reaching base via walk three times.

Defensively, Gouldin threw out two batters from his spot behind the plate. This season, he leads the four ICCAC Division I teams in home runs with nine -- along with 28 RBI (5th) and 20 runs scored. His slugging percentage is fifth highest among ICCAC DI batters as well -- .624.

This is Gouldin's second ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor this season.
