The MCC Men's Basketball Program traveled to Quakerdale Prep Academy on Tuesday, December 4 for a 7 PM matchup. The Tigers entered the game with a 6-6 record. Once the final buzzer sounded in the contest against the Eagles, the Tigers had moved to 7-6 and back to above .500.
The Tigers scored in bunches in the first half and put up their best offensive half of the season by scoring 55 points. Freshman point guard, Nick Fleming, paced the Tigers in the first half by scoring 11 of his 16 points in the opening 20 minutes. Goran Vidovic and Kelton Edwards also poured in the points in the first half as they scores ten each.
The Tigers used balanced offensive play to beat the Eagles in the Eagle Nest. Six Tigers finished the matchup with double-digit point totals. Juan Coffi, JJ Foster, and Eduardo Lane joined Fleming, Vidovic, and Edwards with double-digit outings. Meanwhile, the Eagles only had two players manage to put up double-digits as the Tigers pulled away for a 96-74 win.
The Tigers won't have long to enjoy their victory as they are back in action on Wednesday, December 05 when they take on Iowa Valley rival Ellsworth Community College in a 7 PM contest at the Student Activity Center.
