Having won its final two matches of the regular season, the Marshalltown Community College men's soccer team enters the 2014 Region XI men's soccer tournament in the national rankings, coming in at No. 19 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division I Poll and receiving votes in the NJCAA Division I Poll.
The Tigers, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, have appeared in the national rankings for four consecutive weeks now. MCC will host No. 7 seed Scott Community College in the opening round at 3:00 PM on Wednesday.
Iowa Western Community College, the top-seed in the upcoming tournament, is ranked No. 2 in each of the national polls this week.
The Region XI Tournament Final Four will be held at the Cownie Sports Complex in Des Moines, IA on Saturday and Sunday.
