Marshalltown Community College soccer's Alex Neri has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 10-16. 

Neri stepped up last week during MCC's upset of #1 Iowa Western Community College. The Tiger goalkeeper made 11 saves in 11 tries on his way to shutting out the Reivers in a 1-0 win.

It was just Neri's second start of the season. In three games he has allowed four goals while being in the net for 198 minutes. He hasn't allowed a goal in his last 120 minutes of play. In all he has 20 saves this season.
