Kortlan Ollinger adds ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors
Kortlan Ollinger (Robins, IA/Linn Mar) received conference honors for the second consecutive day as the sophomore was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Batter of the Week. Ollinger was named First-Team All-Region XI Outfield on Monday morning.
Kortlan Ollinger (Robins, IA/Linn Mar) received a conference accolade for the second consecutive day as the sophomore was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I Batter of the Week. Ollinger was named First-Team All-Region XI Outfield on Monday morning.
Ollinger concluded the 2015 season on a tear, batting .632 (12-19) over the team's final six games. Ollinger scored nine runs during the stretch while driving in five runs and collecting five extra base hits.
The sophomore's highlight of the week came in game one against Iowa Lakes Community College on Tuesday where Ollinger went 4-4 at the plate with two home runs and a double. Ollinger did not strike out once all week and went the final 10 games of the regular season without a punch-out.
Ollinger wrapped up the 2015 season with a .365 batting average and led the Tigers in nearly every offensive category.
